Quickstart

Add Aptabase to your Unreal Games

Install the Unreal Engine SDK, initialize it with your App Key and track your first event. Get the App Key from the dashboard's Instructions menu — keys look like A-EU-*, A-US-*.

1. Install

Package: Plugin (C++ project)

Clone https://github.com/aptabase/aptabase-unreal into your project's Plugins/ folder

2. Setup

Enable the plugin (Toolbar > Edit > Plugins > search "Aptabase" > Enable), then add to Config/DefaultEngine.ini:

Finally, set your App Key in Project Settings > Analytics > Aptabase.

3. Track events (C++)

4. Track events (Blueprints)

Use the "Record Event with Attributes" node. The Blueprint Analytics Plugin is recommended for provider-agnostic tracking.

How the SDK behaves

Nothing is tracked automatically — you call the track function for each event.
Every event is enriched automatically with OS name/version, app version and locale.
Custom property values must be strings or numbers.
Tracking calls are non-blocking and run in the background.
Events are separated into Debug and Release build modes automatically (see https://aptabase.com/docs/build-modes).
